Phoenix Band Social

After a much deserved week off from practicing, the band had it's first rehearsal back last night. We were missing a few players who were busy with work commitments, but on the whole it was a good reheasarl and was pleasing to be able to run through a selection of music for the summer concerts and also the Weston Super Mare contest in May.

More important news from the band this week, is that it's the band social on Friday evening at the Crown & Victoria in Tintinhull with over 20 of us and partners meeting up for a meal and drink .. or two.

The past year has been a busy one for the band, with some players having left, and many new faces joining us, the meal out will give us a chance to socialise as a group without our instruments. It also gives the chance for partners to be involved and welcomed into the band. Without their support it would a lot harder for our members to commit to rehearsals and engagements.
