Barrington Fete 2014
Barrington Fete has been a long standing feature of summer concerts and, in a departure from recent form, it was actually quite sunny. As usual the band provided the background for a quintessentially English village fete. Any event like this needs a Brass Band.
There was the much sampled beer tent, serving Pimms for the ladies, an outdoor skittle alley, fully risk assessed wellie-wanging, teas, coffees and cakes and an open dog show.
Many thanks to Gordon Francis who took the (odd shaped) baton and conducted a varied and well received programme. Euph player Steve even went home with some doggie treats after being highly placed in the geriatric classes of the dog show. That is to say Steve’s dog was highly placed.
