6th Place at Torquay

After what already seems a long day from an early start, the results are in which the band placed 6th in the second section of West of England areas, which is certainly an achievement I’m sure you’ll agree!

A personal thanks to our Musical Director, David Boorer for all his hard work in preparing the band for the contest. We are also extremely grateful to our helpers John (2nd baritone) and Clare (percussionist) and to Colin and Sophie that made a return, we hope to see you all again soon. A word of thanks to Lydney Town and Training Band for the ‘borrowed players’ to complete our lineup on the day.

Thank you also to everyone for your kind comments earlier prior to the band performing and your continued support.

We will now use the adjudicator comments along with the guidance of David to learn and improve as we now move forward to preparing for our next event at Lyme Regis seafront on Sunday 7th June 2020.
