Welcome return to St Bartholomew's Church
On Sunday we were welcomed back to perform an afternoon concert at St Bartholomew's Church in Crewkerne. The Friends of the Crewkerne Parish Church put on regular concerts and on Sunday it was our turn to entertain. It must have been over 10 years since the band has performed in the local church, so it was an overdue but welcome return for us.
The concert programme chosen was a varied one, including: Solidus, The Knights Templar, Sometimes I Feel Like a Motherless Child, Amazing Grace, The Greatest Show and a mash up of traditional Welsh tunes amongst other pieces.
Introducing Mawgan Stott
As an addition to our performance the band were joined by local singer, Mawgan Stott, who sang "Somewhere" from "West Side Story" and "Georgia on My Mind". This was the first time Mawgan has sung with Phoenix, and everyone was blown away by her voice. Hopefully this won't be the last time we can share a stage together.
If anyone is interested in finding out more about Mawgan or looking to book her, please visit her website here.
Thanks to Friends of Crewkerne Parish Church
We must say a large thank you to all the friends of the church for inviting us to perform. We hope you and everyone who came enjoyed our music and hope we will not leave it so long before we return again.
